At approximately 1150 hours, the Blaine County Communications Center received a call, reporting a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 75 and Ohio Gulch.  Wood River Fire and Rescue, Ketchum Fire, and the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office responded.  A 1999 Silver Plymouth Neon was found in the middle of the intersection facing west.  A Gold 2005 Ford Explorer was found on its roof, facing east, also within the intersection.  Lucila Moya, 35, of Bellevue, the Explorer driver, was stopped at the stop sign on Ohio Gulch Road, facing west.  Moya was stopped, waiting to turn southbound, as a northbound, semi truck was approaching Ohio Gulch Road, in the eastbound turn lane.  Moya had three passengers who were identified as Norma Sandoval, 38, of Hailey, Norma Aguayo, 34, of Hailey, and Enriqueta Salamanca, 33, also of Hailey.  As Moya pulled onto State Highway 75, she observed the Plymouth Neon, travelling northbound.  The Neon was partially obstructed from Moya’s view due to the turning semi-truck.  The driver of the Neon was identified as Wanda Glasmann, 84, of Twin Falls.  As Moya began to turn south onto State Highway 75 she saw Glasmann’s vehicle and chose to drive straight forward, west, attempting to avoid a crash, as Glasmann turned to the left also in an attempt to avoid a crash.  Glasmann’s vehicle struck the drivers side of Moya’s vehicle, just behind Moya’s driver’s front wheel.  All five vehicle occupants were transported to St. Luke’s Medical Center where Glasmann was later taken by air ambulance to St Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise.  Glasmann sustained leg, hand, and internal injuries, and was in serious condition when she was air lifted.   Moya and all of her occupants were treated for minor injuries.  All occupants appeared to have been wearing their seatbelts. Traffic was only stopped for a short time until the scene was secured. Traffic was then diverted around the Scene on Hwy. 75.
