A Ketchum man has been arrested on four felony charges and two misdemeanors following a theft investigation by the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office.
On September 9, 2020, a baseball card collection worth more than $20,000 was reported stolen from a storage unit in Ketchum, Idaho. A crime tip led deputies and detectives to investigate Tony Lopez Sanchez, age 40 of Sun Valley, Idaho. Sanchez was arrested on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at approximately 12:00 a.m. and charged with two felony charges, Possession of Stolen Property, I.C. 18-2403(3), and Burglary, I.C. 18-1401. Sanchez was also charged with misdemeanor Possession of Burglary Tools, 18-1406. Sanchez was arraigned Monday in Magistrate Court on these charges where his bond was set at $10,000.
A Search Warrant served at Sanchez’s residence subsequent to the Burglary arrest led to additional charges on September 21, 2020. Sanchez now also faces two felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, (Methamphetamine and Heroin), and one misdemeanor count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Xanax), I.C. 37-2732.
