On Saturday, October 30, 2021, at approximately 4:52 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrians collision on Sun Valley Rd. at Leadville Avenue in Ketchum, Idaho.
Crash scene investigation determined that Aldo Quinones Inga, age 38 of Bellevue, Idaho, was driving a 2004 red F-150 truck west on Sun Valley Rd with a passenger. Aldo told police that as he approached the intersection with Leadville Rd., the sun was shining in his face and he could not see. Branden Howard Robinson, age 25 of Filer, Idaho, and Tristan Ann Robinson, age 24 of Pocatello, Idaho were crossing Sun Valley Road in the crosswalk when Aldo's vehicle struck and drove over both Branden and Tristan, dragging them into the intersection. Aldo stopped his vehicle on the other side of the intersection.
Both Branden and Tristan received significant injuries. Branden was sent via air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
Aldo was issued a misdemeanor citation for Reckless Driving, I.C. 49-1401(1), and Failure to Purchase a Drivers License, I.C. 49-301.
