On Monday, December 5, 2022, at approximately 10:19 a.m. a Blaine County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol came upon a two-vehicle crash on Sun Valley Rd. at Second Avenue in Ketchum, Idaho.
Crash scene investigation determined that a 1999 silver Ford F-350 with an attached snowplow, driven by a 17-year-old male from Shoshone, Idaho was traveling south on Second Avenue when it began sliding through the stop sign and into the intersection. The truck collided with a 2019 gray Subaru Forester driven by a 53-year-old female with two female passengers traveling west on Sun Valley Rd.
The driver and front seat passenger of the Subaru were transported to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The third passenger of the Subaru and the driver of the Ford were uninjured in the collision.
The Subaru sustained significant damages. The Ford truck sustained minor damages. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. The driver of the Ford was issued a citation for Failure to Stop/Yield from a Stop Sign, I.C. 49-807.
