On Monday January 7, 2019 at approximately 12:33 a.m. deputies from the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle head on collision involving an Idaho Transportation Department snowplow on Hwy 75 north of East Fork Rd.
Corban James Napualani McBride, age 25 of Hailey, Idaho was driving a white 2013 Dodge Avenger south on Highway 75 when he collided head on with Benjamin D. Daniels, also age 25 of Hailey. Daniels was plowing northbound in the center lane in an ITD 2015 Mack snowplow, which sustained moderate to damage to the front plow of the vehicle. The Dodge driven by McBride sustained severe damage. Both McBride and Daniels were wearing seat belts. McBride was transported to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Criminal charges on McBride are pending lab results. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the collision.
