On Friday, November 10, 2023, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop at Main Street and Cottonwood Street in Bellevue, Idaho.
After investigation, Dakota Shea Sanders, age 21 of Hailey, Idaho, was arrested for felony Driving Under the Influence – Excessive – Second Offense, I.C. 18-8004 C, and misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana Less Than Three Ounces, I.C. 37-2732(C)(3).
Excessive driving under the influence is defined as having an alcohol concentration of 0.20 or greater. Sanders has a prior conviction for Excessive DUI in 2020, making a second within five years a felony.
Sander remains in the custody of the Blaine County Detention Center pending arraignment in Magistrate Court Monday afternoon.
