On Sunday, November 12, 2023, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery in progress on Stanton Crossing Rd. in Bellevue, Idaho.
Upon arrival on the scene, deputies were able to speak with the victim but were not able to locate the other party. The victim was escorted off the property for her safety and to seek additional medical attention for her injuries.
On Monday, November 13, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s investigators located and took Cristobal Magana Lira, age 29 of Bellevue, Idaho, into custody.
At arraignment in Magistrate Court on Tuesday afternoon, the Blaine County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed charges for felony Aggravated Assault, I.C. 18-907(1), and misdemeanor Domestic Battery, I.C. 18-903. Magana Lira was later released on a bond of five thousand dollars as ordered by the court.
