On Friday, November 17, 2023, at approximately 9:34 a.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 20 near milepost 168 in Blaine County, Idaho, approximately three miles from the Camas County Line.
Crash scene investigation determined that the blue 2007 Ford F250 truck was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 20 when it left the roadway, overcorrected, slid, and rolled an unknown number of times landing on its roof on the east side of the highway.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 20-year-old male from Hailey, Idaho, reported that he fell asleep while driving but awoke as the vehicle went off the roadway. The driver also reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver received serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise. The truck sustained substantial damages and was towed from the scene.
